"You have to go along to get along in this office."

I witnessed a friend and ex co-worker be verbally attacked because of favoritism between one employee and a manager. The situation could possibly turn into a legal situation because not only was she verbally attacked, but the manager also tried to intimidate her by stating that, "He doesn't know where we think he is from", as if to say we better watch who we are talking to or else. He also coerced her into calling him a liar, by stating untrue events that never happened. This is crazy because I still work here and I am also a victim of favoritism and preferential treatment. He does not speak to the other employee in this manner and he also allows her to come and go as she pleases. She does not have supervisory status, she is just a temporary employee.
