Tricked to lower pay.

Because of the economy last year the store I work at was struggling. My boss pulls me into the office and offers me $10hr and half commission versus the 6-10% commission I was making. Year before last my income was $46723.00 and then the next it dropped due to the economy. ($29800.00) Well..what he says to me kinda sound good. If I sell the same amount as I did last year (46723.00) at the half commission plus the $10hr I would come out at $45000. He was saying that they were going to take more UPs and try to make the business more money. I completely understood. Now the twist. The Warehouse manager, also the BROTHER-IN-LAW, is now going to sale and take half the UPs. (Never sold before) I thought I was ok with this until the warehouse started to go down hill, then I found out a piece on info that bothers me to no end. Warehouse manager doesn't involve anything more than what I do at the store, yet he makes $20hr plus half commission. I have been with this company for almost 4yrs and have made them very happy and they turn around and do this to me. Just doesn't seem right. I don't know how to deal with this because its such a small business. Here is a list of the people I work for. Owners: Mother and 2 sons. Employees: brother-in-law and me(not part of the family). Oh and two warehouse guys that are close friends to the warehouse manager.

Response from Carl: Thanks B. Perhaps your last few sentences say it all...you're working for a family that you're not part of. Based on what you mention I'm not sure what you can do short of bringing your concerns up to the owner.
