How to Work for an Idiot
by: Anonymous

According to How to Work for an Idiot: Survive & Thrive--Without Killing Your Boss.
http://www.forbes.com/2005/09/01/management-career-business-cx_sr_0901bizbasics.html
it takes a little creative Idiot Re-engineering. While it may seem enticing to pave the path to advancement by making one's boss appear utterly stupid, speaking harshly about him behind his back, and/or mentally preparing one's exit strategy, it may not be wise.

Becoming an asset to one's boss may be the better plan. Even a clueless boss will be better prepared to learn of his ignorance-by-choice bad habits, if he feels the speaker values him, respects him, and is out to protect his ass-ets.
Protecting his bosses assets is integral. If not made aware of this unethical behavior, his higher-up may wonder about your loyalty to the company if you were aware of this miscreant's behavior and did not inform him.

Defending oneself against a hostile workplace claim, discrimination, etc. can prove to be unnecessarily costly.
