i am a server at a restaurant it is a fast pace high pressure work zone and in the restaurant business you're bound to make mistake and some times its not even my fault and every time i do i fear going into the kitchen and having to explain my self of the mistake i end up being belittle as if i can't do this job but yet at the end of the night i seem to make the most money and have to tip pool with other who don't make as much so while i'm working hard to feed my kids i have ti give my hard earn money away cause some server cant pull there own weight which that alone is unfair in my eyes now back to my point of my favoritism so i would make a mistake and my boss would holler at me as if i was his 10 year old kid while some people would make the same maybe even more costly mistake and they don't say a word my frustration level has reached it boiling point....what should i do??

Response from Carl: I'm not the type of person who suggests looking for a new job everytime you face some adversity at work because the truth is that if that was the case most people would be quitting jobs every few months. We'll always come across people who we either don't particularly like, who don't like us or from what you mention above, might simply be unreasonable people who can't be spoken with.

In that regard, based on what you mention above the only thing I'd ask is whether or not this job is really worth the aggravation and stress that it's costing you? If not, what other options do you have available and how long will it be before you simply want to take any other job that would come your way and leave this place?

Carl
