Software Engineer

by Koushik Roy
(Kolkata, West Bengal, India)

I intend to establish myself as a Software Engineer with an integrated business solution provider through a long time commitment, contributing to the company's growth and in turn ensuring personal growth with in the organization. I believe that technical, functional and communication skills will enable me in facing the challenging career ahead.

Response from Carl: Thanks Koushik. Typically you write your Career Objective and resume without use of personal pronouns like "I" and "me" as well as other words like "myself" so I'd be careful about using these as you risk making what you're writing too informal. Remember to write your Career Objective focusing on what you offer the employer and not what you're looking for.

It sounds from your writing that you're beginning your career and have no existing experience since you don't refer to any prior experience and also refer to "establishing" yourself. Again, you're trying to show the reader why they should interview you so you want to focus on what you offer the employer and not what you're looking for. You refer to technical, functional and communication skills but don't give any evidence of what they are.
