Sample Resignation Letter
Here is a sample resignation letter template for you to fill in with your specific details when you resign from your employer after accepting a new job elsewhere. You just need to fill in all the [BOLDED COMMENTS] fields. Now is not the time to burn any bridges so you just want to state your intent to resign your position and you can put as much or as little detail in your letter as you choose. I'd suggest leaving out the name of your new employer since it's extraneous information. You might wait until after you've started your new job before letting your former employer and colleagues where you are off to if you'd rather not divulge this information right away. You may also choose to add in a comment or two regarding something that your boss did (or whoever the letter is addressed to) that assisted in your development or your success while working with the company. Below is a short and sweet sample resignation letter template for you to use.
