Response from Carl: Thanks Virginia. Given your years of experience, one thing to be careful about is scaring away potential employers when you refer to a number of years of experience. This is especially true if the position called for (for example) 8-10 years of experience but when you'd still be interested in the job and might in fact be a good fit. Some hiring managers can be biased when they see a number of years of experience that don't match exactly what they think they need so I'd just be aware of this. This can be exacerbated when the number of years of work experience that you have is in the 15 years+ range.
