To obtain a retail position that will enable me to use my strong organizational skills, taste of style, and ability to work well with people.

Response from Carl: Thanks Vernique. I saw a typo in the word "retail" so I corrected it for you. Just make sure you don't do it for real when applying for a job as some hiring managers take even a small typo seriously. I suspect it was just a typo (I had to correct several of my own while typing this response to you!) so I know it happens but I just wanted to mention it.

If you have previous retail experience perhaps you could mention it. If you have any prior work experience that could help your cause I'd mention it too. Any relevant skills that can show a hiring manager that you have transferable skills and/or a previous track record of success in another industry even, can help your candidacy for a job.
