Resignation Letter Sample

Comment from Carl: This one is short and sweet so it looks good to me. Nothing wrong with suggesting that you'd like to remain in touch with your boss especially if you're on good terms with them. You never know when you might work with (or for) them again or when you might need a reference!

Dear John

Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from ABC Company effective today. As per the terms of my work contract, I am giving you two weeks notice so that my last day at work will be on Friday March 30. This will give me enough time to finish up my work and hand over any remaining items to you for my replacement.

I have enjoyed working with ABC Company for the past 3 years and with you in particular and hope that we will remain in touch after I have left.
