Resignation Email

Comment from Carl: These days, not everyone is required to type up a formal resignation letter so a resignation email is probably what many people will go with. I'd suggest resigning in person first and then following up with the resignation email just so you have evidence that you sent a hard copy.

The good thing about the resignation email is that you don't have to worry about adding addresses and dates like you would in a letter!

The other good thing is that email correspondence can be both professional but informal too unlike letters which often take a more formal tone.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my my time with ABC Company and working for you specifically.

Please let me know how you'd like me to finish up the work I'm doing currently so that I can arrange a smooth handover.
