Recruitment And Using A Recruiter To Find You A JobRecruitment refers to finding someone to fill a job that is available. If you choose to work with a recruiter (ie. headhunter) you need to understand that they get paid when they find someone a job. More specifically, they get paid when one of their clients hires a candidate who they presented to them. A recruiter doesn't get paid to get you a job, they get paid if they find you a job with one of their clients. You don't pay them anything and they don't owe you anything. If you put all your faith in the hands of a recruiter to find you a job, you should expect to remain looking for work for quite some time. Also, don't assume that all recruiters are equal. They aren't. There are many lousy recruiters who don't know what they are doing and placing your job search solely in the hands of such people will hurt only you.
Take command of your career by using recruiters to supplement your job search, not to manage it. Recruiters get paid by hiring companies so they answer to the hiring company, not you.
