Response from Carl: Thanks Lauren. Whenever possible, use specifics. Can you be more specific regarding the IT skills that you have ie. MS Office, Windows, Excel? Do you have experience with certain phone systems or databases or anything else that jobs you're applying for tend to ask for?

I'd also allude to the amount of experience you have as many hiring managers will look for someone with a certain level of experience already.
