find your dream career

Physician Anesthesiologist

by Michelle
(Redlands, CA)

I want to continue to upgrade and enhance my professional skills in a dynamic and stable workplace, to keep up with the cutting edge of technologies and techniques, to provide safe and satisfying anesthetics to my patients, and to be actively involved in the organizational structure of my department.

Response from Carl: Thanks Michelle. Your Career Objective reads more like a statement of what you're looking for (you start out by saying "I want...") when the Career Objective and your resume as a whole should be showing the reader why they should interview you.

Remember that the reader is looking to hire someone who has certain skills and experience so when you mention that you want to "upgrade and enhance my professional skills" it almost sounds like you're going to be learning on the job. I suspect that's not your intent but that's what it sounds like.

I suspect you have an educational background that is relevant to your desired profession so I'd mention that right away to let the reader know you have it.
