Office Managment/Reception - Architecture/Interior Design

I have an avid interest in pursuing a career in Architecture and Interior Design.

Before returning to school to earn my degree, I would like to be exposed to these fields in order to obtain experience and insight, aiding me in ensuring that these are indeed fields I intend to continue working within.

I find that Reception/Office work provides me with a great ability to observe and involve myself in different aspects of a company, allowing me to gain knowledge in various new roles and skills as I progress.

Response from Carl: Hi Emma. What you've written doesn't read like a Career Objective that you'd expect to see in a resume but I can see that you're someone who knows what interests her and knows what she wants to do so I wanted to respond with my thoughts.

What you're doing makes sense to me because being exposed to the industry you're interested in might help you get direct contact with what actually goes on in the business to make sure this is what you really want to do in your career.

Plus you'll probably be able to make some good contacts at this firm and perhaps other companies that you get exposed to that might be able to help you later on when you're looking for a fulltime job in the field.
