Choosing Your Occupation
Are you having trouble figuring out what occupation is best for you?
At the end of the day you'll need to choose a profession that suits you and that best fits your interests, goals and skills.
The good news is that there is help available.
My suggestion when you're trying to figure out what occupation is best for you is to carefully think about what interests you and what you could see yourself doing 20 years from now.
True, you'll probably switch jobs several times along the way and you might even change professions during this time.
The point is to plan for the long term.
Think about where your skills lie and what specific tasks you are good at and which ones you genuinely enjoy doing.
Think about your hobbies and the things you like doing in your personal life in your spare time.
Think about what jobs you'd almost do for free because you'd enjoy it that much.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend pursuing the "hot careers" that everyone is talking about today because it could be a fad that disappears and leaves you with nothing.
Having said that there are some hot careers that are hot because they will most likely be around for the long term. These ones might provide a great opportunity for you to think about looking at.
You may have heard the old saying that says if you find a job you love, you'll never work a day in your life.
This is a good thing to keep in mind when determining the occupation that will suit you best.
