My Coworker is the Boss' Brother
by Jan
Response from Carl: Thanks Jan. I once worked with the owner's brother too, also in a commissioned environment. But in my case, there really wasn't any favoritism and the brother was a great guy who I got along with just fine. If anything I think the boss probably didn't do his brother any favors. He had to survive on his own just like the rest of us. In your case, I wonder what you might do to help your cause if you choose to remain with the employer? Have you approached the boss yet and gotten no positive response? If you've asked the owner what you need to do to get some of these lucrative leads and haven't started getting any of them, I'm not sure what else you can do. In this case, I'd probably wonder about my long term future working there since this sort of favoritism is literally costing you money. Carl
