In this case you might want to mention if you have a diploma or degree in engineering or other designation that would help your candidacy. Seeing a candidate with a degree might help to get an advantage of over someone who doesn't have it.

If you don't have a degree or designation but have some practical experience - perhaps a part time job in an engineering environment - you might make mention of this instead.
