I am looking for a challenging position in the field of marketing where I can use my intercultural competence and business fluent command of japanese & english. With over one year working experience and my keen desire to learn and improve, I will quickly fit in any professional environment.

Response from Carl: Thanks John. Given that you're bilingual in Japanese and English, I'd probably word it that way and in fact, I'd probably start my career objective by stating it ie. "Marketing professional bilingual in English and Japanese..." Mentioning it right up front will catch the attention of any company who desires such a candidate plus the use of the word "bilingual" means you'll be picked up in resume keyword searches where the hiring manager uses the word bilingual as a search term which many will, when they need someone who speaks more than one language.

Not to nitpick but I'd get rid of the "&" sign and print the word "and" in full just to keep things formal.
