Lunch interview

Hey Carl. I had a lunch interview and was pretty nervous going in because I wasn't sure what to expect. It ended up going quite well and I did get a job offer which I turned down as it wasn't exactly what I was looking for in the end.

Still, the experience was good because I got to interview in a different mode, if that makes sense. I felt more relaxed and more open than a normal interview. The interview just seemed less formal than a standard interview probably because we were in a public place and were eating food!

Response from Carl: Thanks Tana. I went on a lunch interview a few years ago myself and found exactly what you said: I felt pretty relaxed too. The two ladies who I was meeting had already interviewed me once in the office and decided to invite me out for lunch to talk in more of a social setting for the second interview.

From memory we didn't really talk about the job all that much either! We discussed the industry and also talked about news and current events too but did also talk about what I'd be doing with the company as well. Perhaps your experience was different but that's what I experienced.
