To seek a challenging position in an IT Industry and contribute extensively in an environment where there is opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Response from Carl: Thanks Sakib. This sounds like one of the typical types of Career Objectives that I used to use in my resume to be honest, and is similar to the ones that I often read from people who are applying for jobs. It focuses on what you're looking for rather than what you offer the reader which is really what you want to do. You want to show the reader (ie. the hiring manager) why they should interview you but this statement doesn't do that.

You mention that you're looking for a position in IT so I'd expect you to let us know in your Career Objective that (for example) you're a DBA or a programmer or a technical support rep and that you have a BSc in Computer Science or an MCSE or something like that. Obviously, you would tailor it to your own background. I hope that gives you an idea as what to focus on.

Also, I'd take out the "challenging position" part since this is a cliche that many people use in their Objective but when you think about it, it really doesn't add anything to your profile.
