Group interview teaching

by Mahshid
(Iran, Tehran)

I want to apply as an English teacher and this job has a group interview & a difficult test. What I am worried about is the first one. On the other hand there is this question on the application form & I want to give it a good answer:

In a paragraph, state why you decided to become a teacher and how a person can make a good English teacher. (Obligatory) No less than 150 words.

Thanks for your help.

Response from Carl Thanks Mahshid. With the group interview if it's one where you're being interviewed by several or more people at once, try your best to give each person the proper attention and to remember their names and their function i.e. there might be people from several different roles there who each have a stake in the interview process. Give each person eye contact especially when answering their questions and don't assume that one person is more or less important than the others.

With regards to the question you asked me, I'd think that the reason you want to be a teacher is one that you'd be able to answer on your own since presumably you have your own reason(s) for becoming one. I suspect among other things, you like kids, enjoy helping people, like helping people learn and feel that you are someone who can excel in a teaching environment.
