Favortism regarding overtime

by Harry
(Mississauga)

I work for a company where policy for over time is seniority based but the supervisor ignored the company policy and called the employees for overtime who had less seniority than others

Response from Carl: Hi Harry. From what you mention it sounds like the overtime rules are quite well laid out. I used to work in a union environment and when overtime rules were violated, the people affected could file a grievance. Assuming you've already asked the supervisor why they didn't follow the rule, who else can you approach to question the methodology used?
