Executive Associate
by Gigi Deere
(I need help with this. It doesn't show my great sense of humor! LOL) Response from Carl: Thanks Gigi. Maybe you could tell a knock knock joke to open it up...that would be funny. :) Just kidding. I wouldn't worry about being funny yet. You'd certainly have a chance to show your personality during the job interview but remember that in your sort of position as EA, a hiring manager probably wants professionalism as well as some of the things you referred to above namely problem-solving and communications skills so I think you're on the right track. I'd probably get rid of the word "Excellent" to start things off and just start with "Executive Assistant with..." instead. In your second sentence, I'd get rid of the words "I also" since the Career Objective and Resume as a whole tend to not use "I", "me" and other words that refer to us personally. Instead you might try something like "Strong work ethic combined with diligence and superior organization skills resulting in savings to the company totaling hundreds of man hours" or something similar to that. Just make sure you're prepared in the interview to specifically mention how you saved the company hundreds of man hours of course. Carl |
