Response from Carl: Thanks Sushant. I'd probably reword the first few words of your Objective and change it to something like "Database Administrator with 2 years of experience in Oracle and SQL Server..." or whichever databases you have worked on. As an IT recruiter, I always like to know right away what platforms a person works on since IT jobs like the one you're looking for typically require someone that has the specific experience that the hiring company is looking for.

I'd also make a reference in that sentence to your experience with UNIX, Windows, etc since that's typically something the hiring manager looks for too.

With your second sentence, I wouldn't bother mentioning anything about "achieve the career heights I aim for" since the Career Objective is about what you offer the company and not what you're looking for. Better to mention something that you offer ie. experience or achievements related to the job you're applying for.
