Contracts Engineer

by Rupam
(Sharjah)

Myself being an engineer and practical manager with many years of experience in procurement, project and Contract Management. I wish to become a successful Manager and reach the top position in the organisation. I want to utilise my knowledge and expertise to give 100% to the industry. I shall be Commercially aware, cost-conscious of budget, practical restraints, and use the available resources to optimum. I shall motivate, create a congenial work environment and strive to reduce the conflicts, the problems of dealing with diverse culture and nationalities in projects and operational management situations.

Response from Carl: Thanks Rupam. This reads more like a summary of your skills and expertise which is great but for the Career Objective people typically only use 3-4 lines in the resume to write it and tend to stay away from using personal pronouns like "I", "me", etc.

Some people do use a Skills Summary or Value Offered type statement similar to what you mentioned above in place of a Career Objective but it would tend to be shorter (again, 3-4 lines maximum) and would be very specific as to what they offer the employer.

Having said that, if you check out some of the other submissions on this page, I'm sure you'll get a sense as to what people typically use for their Career Objective, too.
