Continuing care assistant (CCA, PSW, HSW)

by Nathalie L
(Canada)

To obtain a position within an organization where I can utilize my knowledge as a recently certified Continuing Care Assistant and my 4 years of volunteer experience in my field of study. Some of my skills are personal care, home management, food handling, Alzheimer’s and other dementia certification and experience, crisis intervention and I offer those skills in both English and French.

Response from Carl: Thanks Nathalie and congrats on your new CCA designation. I might try to reword the part that starts with "Some of my skills are..." to make it a bit less conversational and more like a statement of your skills just to keep the statement in line with the professional nature of your line of work. I'd also put your bilingual status near or at the beginning of your statement as this is great skill to have that can separate you from others.

You could for example reword to something like:

Bilingual continuing care assistant and recent CCA graduate with 4 years of volunteer experience...

I'm assuming that "CCA" is referred to such in your industry and someone reading it would know exactly what the acronym stands for which I suspect they would.
