Response from Carl: While you mention exactly what sort of position your're looking for - a research role in clinical science - I'm sure the average reader would like to know something about you and your background and how it applies to the line of work you want to pursue.

You also don't give any indication of your background - either your scholastic background (ie. do you already have a science degree) or of any previous relevant work experience.

I suspect including the reason for your interest in this field would also be of interest to someone looking to fill a research role for a clinical scientist?
