Response from Carl: Thanks Joseph. You mention Civil Engineer in your job title section so I'm guessing you have a civil engineering (or similar) degree or diploma and if so, I'm not sure why you wouldn't mention it in your Career Objective to let the reader know? If I had a degree like this, I'd mention it right away so the reader doesn't have to keep looking for a reference to it later in my resume.

The purpose of the Career Objective is to show the reader (ie. hiring manager) why they should interview you but you haven't done that. All you've done is tell them what you want but you've given them know reason to interview you.
