Chemical Engineering

I am a final year student in chemical engineering. I am interested to have a post graduation degree related to environment sciences in likes of environmental engineering, energy management etc.

What stream has the best job prospects in accordance with the PG in chemical engineering? What are the job opportunities for the environment concerned studies specifically in INDIA? I would be glad to hear a reply from you.

Response from Carl: Thanks for the question, Nikhil. It's hard for me to comment on the specific job situation in any area that I don't live in and I don't live in India so I can't really help you there.

Having said that, an engineering degree like the one you will have can open doors in many fields now and in the future. You often find that senior managers and executives in major corporations come from various engineering backgrounds.

For anyone who is searching for a job in any area, I always think the best way to approach it is to go right to the source: speak with people who have already graduated with the type of degrees you're considering and see what they're doing. Ask them about their job, what they do, what they like/dislike and see if they can provide advice as to job prospects for an upcoming graduate like yourself.

I suspect your university has a career guidance centre or similar so I'd make use of that too so see what they can offer you. They should be able to help you learn about job opportunities in various engineering fields and should also be able to point you in the direction of graduates who are already working in those fields who graduated from the same school you did.
