I Feel Your Pain
by: Anonymous

This sort of thing, unfortunately, seems to be happening all around us these days. The Manager shows favortism towards an undeserving new employee (who knows what is personally going on between them) and gets very defensive about that person. That manager (like so many) is likely thinking that, though you are dissatisfied and are trying to bring concerns to your attention, that you will probably never leave the company and feels that you can be treated however he sees fit. Some suggestions for you are:

1. Forget about showing any concern about the situation. As hard as it is, it only causes you unhappiness, and actually makes the new person look better. Instead, just go with the flow, don't complain, continue doing a great job (the company does count on that and appreciates it even if they fail to let you know) and you feel good about yourself for your efforts.

2. Think of this as a temporary position. It is never too late to upgrade your skills and look for something better. You are never too old and there could be a wonderful position out there for you. Don't waste anymore emotional energy on this company because, again, it drains you and makes the new person look better. The new person is counting on you to be unhappy and complain, that makes her day.

open your eyes dear one.once you were told to train Q in the job you should have known that somebody is about to take over your position.besides stop your complains about Q'S behaviour bcos they may accuse you of being jealous otherwise you may find yourself loosing your precious job.what if Q is their relative???If your job is competed as you have stated, stay calm and God will fight.
