What would be the career objective of the bookkeeper?

Answer from Carl: Some career professionals debate whether or not people should even use a career objective but using a well-written and focused one does help the reader of your resume to quickly identify why you are someone they should interview.

Your career objective is personal because it describes you and your specific profile. Depending on your background - perhaps you have an accounting degree or X number of years of experience already that you can reference in the career objective - you want to tell the reader what you offer them and why they should interview you.

Your career objective should be specific and concise and focused on showing the employer what you bring to the table. Not knowing your personal background, I suspect you probably have analytical, computer, data entry and documentation skills (among others) that would be required in a bookkeeping job, skills that you could make reference to in your career objective. You might also refer to specific skills or experience that you have that the employer is looking for.
