I am going for the honest approach...I have not had to write a resume in years. The company I worked for offered a buy out which allowed me to retire with full benefits and enable me to come back home, stop commuting and be with my family. I haven't won the lottery and I am not independently wealthy however, I'm still working on that and need to continue working. I tried to write a resume using key words i.e. "further my career", "expand my horizons" but was having a hard time accentuating key words that everyone else uses. The truth is I'm looking for a full time job with benefits and the ability to earn a decent living. I have the old fashion work ethics, honesty, hardworking and still believe in the "Golden Rule". My number one priority is my family and enjoy my working relationships...I also like someone with a good sense of humor.

I wouldn't be too hung up on writing a resume with relevant keywords but it is good to take them into consideration. Just don't let your desire to include keywords get in the way of writing your resume properly.

The keywords you avoided using like "further my career" and "expand my horizons" are cliches anyways so not having in your resume isn't going to hurt you, that's for sure.
